Below is our program for this special event:
Sunset, Live Music and Camping
Day 1 Saturday: ‘’ L’étoile des cèdres’’ Arz Tannourine.
We will leave the meeting point at 15.00 Pm. After reaching the location, we will pitch our tents, put the luggage, have some rest. Those who want can watch the sunset in this particular area that offers amazing views. We will spend time over the sunset for reflection, intention setting, and meditation. Our spiritual journey will explore beyond our bodies into our relationship with the divine.
Then, we will enjoy a cozy atmosphere around the bonfire with live music performed by talented people who will amazed us by acoustic jams and vocal, sing along with them and enjoy the night under millions of stars with friends, families and our beloved ones. For all musician’s lovers they can join us with their musical instrument.
We will spend the night there, enjoy a clear sky full of stars and end the night by a cozy gathering around the campfire to have dinner of roasted potatoes, corn… and boiled tea. Of course there will be a snack near us where we can by homemade mankoushe.
Those who chooses the Saturday event only, will return by car to Beirut
Day 2 Sunday: Harissa – Rahoue – Jabal el Mnaitra New Trail by Dale Corazon,
Next day, we will enjoy a traditional homemade breakfast, make a small tour in the area of Arz Tannourine, then wait the other group to come from Beirut and join them.
We will start our walk from the upper part of Harissa village and take the path between the mountains that will lead us to ‘’Tallet el Rahoue’’. There we can find (at the bottom) the ‘’Rahwe Cave’’ where u can taste the coldest, fresh water and then having lunch.
It’s about 2150 m above the sea.
As usual, the hike will be divided into two levels. LEVEL 7 and LEVEL 4.
HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous
This hike is not easy, LEVEL 7, about 16 km long. It is Uphill, strait than downhill. The hike starts from Harissa – Barbris, at “3ein el Baida” where we can fill our bottles with cold and fresh water. From there, we will continue straight on the cliff toward Tallet Rahwe until we reach the Cross where great views lie in front of you. Then we will continue to Biiada, pass by another source called “Akabet ain el mejouiie”.
Reaching the highest peak (2300 m) is a worthy experience. You will get the feeling of being on top of the world!
If you prefer an easier hike (LEVEL 3 & 4), you have the possibility to take a lift in a pick-up or other transportation to reduce 50% of the path. Then you will meet with level 7 and continue the journey. The pick-up will accompany us along the way in case of need.
On our way back to Beirut, we may stop in Batroun to drink fresh Lemonade.
You can’t buy happiness! But you can buy a Tent.
