DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Dear explorers,

Our trip today will be towards the northern shores of Lebanon. We will have a cultural and leisure day by the sea.

Our first stop will be the castle of Mseilha. Although it is under-rated, this historical site was of major importance during the crusader and ottoman era (Prince Fakherdine the 2nd)

A tour inside the castle will take place before proceeding to Nabu, a modern and exceptional museum in Chekka hosting a rare collection of mosaics and historical pieces from the Mediterranean coast line, as well as permanent exhibitions by local artists.

We then head to Batroun, which is currently one of the top tourism destinations in Lebanon.

A tour inside the old city will take us to the cathedral of saint Stephan, the port, the Phoenician wall, our lady of the seas, the diaspora house, el Bahsa bay. And you will have a chance to taste the famous local brioche in the old city.

A delicious seafood sandwiches lunch will follow in a popular seafood shop/restaurant in Batroun.

Last but not least, who can visit Batroun without swimming in its fresh and clean waters?

We will visit a beautiful public beach and have time to relax, have fun and swim before heading back home.
