DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Dear explorers,

Today we will head to South Lebanon, Tyre and Naqoura. Tyre has a beautiful white sandy coast. It is one of the most beautiful shores in Lebanon. This ancient destination is known to be a major Phoenician city, where a famous purple dye was produced and trade was flourishing across the Mediterranean Sea from the city’s port.

On our way, we will have the chance of visiting Sarafand, which is famous for its glass blowing crafts, practiced in a rare traditional way dating back to the Phoenician era. Through this trip, we are encouraging cultural and sustainable tourism in Lebanon.

As we arrive at Tyre, the Christian quarter and old town will be our destination. We’ll enjoy a walking tour through the mazed colorful streets of the old Tyre. This was the original island city during ancient times.

Later we will visit Naqoura by bus, the turquoise water. The sea there is turquoise blue and one of the cleanest in Lebanon, especially in Al Bayyada.
The limestone nature of the rocks makes the water color amazing.

And most importantly during the Lebanese hot summer days, our last stop will be at the Natural Reserve where the famous Tyre white beach. You’ll get to swim, relax, and enjoy one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the Middle East.

Then we will have lunch by the sea, lots of fresh seafood and Mezza options await us there!
