It’s Wintertime!! and what better time to go hiking, and explore Lebanon’s amazing mountains, golden flowery scenery, sparkling lakes, hidden pools & giant waterfall, rivers, wooden bridge, dam, cliffs, rock formations & beautiful sceneries make the trail one of the best in Lebanon, especially during this season. It’s wonderful!!!

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

The nature of the region from the hill we are going to see from downstream; the hill of “Saint Charbel”, located at an altitude of 1950 m above sea level. A big statue of St.Charbel stands there overlooking the area.

It will be the perfect place for hiking, will be a moderate one with some downhill, will walk around the borders of the lake; will have enough time for fun, photo shooting, and rest.

In the middle of the trail the advance level, will go up to reach the famous natural rock where we are going to be; there will be able to contemplate that beautiful landscape, breathtaking views to be remembered forever.

After we will walk right underneath the Chabrouh cliff ‘Chir en nsour’, on a trail just recently prepared by LMT association to reach the giant waterfall.

HIKING LEVELS: 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous.

Our hike will be divided into 2 levels:

We will walk around 11 Km as level 5, for just 3,45 hours, will start at Monastery of the resurrection, it will lead us to a wonderful natural rock carved by water millions of years ago and there you can take as many of photos as you desire then to the impressive cliff and the great waterfall ho still dominate the scene, giving a view over the astounding gorge.

Level 5 (9 Km) Once we reach Chabrouh lake, those who wants will continue straight and head towards ‘‘Chir en nsour’ overlooking the area, until we join the other group.
