Ghazir / Keserwan / Mount Lebanon. One of the most traditional villages.
The village nestled in the heart of Keserwan just 27 kilometers from the capital Beirut towards North, on an elevation of 350 above sea level. Numerous magnificent landscapes to be enjoyed during our hike absolutely approving that this is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in our treasured Lebanon.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: ======================
Ghazir is a Lebanese village that overlooks the bay of Jounieh.
Jdaydet Ghazir, with Ghazir referring back to the Syriac language meaning the “disconnected place” or “the peaceful place”, is a very traditional town located at a very close distance from the sea. It includes many old houses, trails, streets, factories and monasteries that reflect a nostalgic feeling of the Lebanese ancient architecture. This trail is a new one never done before, are known for its pine trees that surround the village, and embrace the oaks, and olive trees while hiking and the unique rocks.
We will pass by ancient’s houses, ancients ruins, wooden bridges, waterfall, sinkholes.
HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous. Ghazir Valley’s ancient houses and the old stairway constitute an essential part of the track to reach Nabe’e Al Maghara Bridge. At the heart of this trail, natural landmarks such as mills, slopes and waterfalls abound making it a panoramic paradise for photography and nature enthusiasts. The breakfast stop will be in a special old wooden bakery before the hike. Our hike will be divided to two levels:
Level 4 Around 5 Km, is a loop trail.
Level 5 Around 8 km, Will take uphill trail to get to the top of the hill to watch panoramic views, till Ras El-Qalaa at Kfour village. Ghazir’s hike is not just a hike in a very beautiful nature, along streams, ponds, huge trees, and breathtaking views. It is a cultural tour as well.
WHAT TO TAKE: ============
Healthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits, lunch, water, cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don’t forget to get a light jacket.
