Ain Zebdeh – Saghbine is a true mosaic of nature, culture, historical and impressive landscapes. The view is mesmerizing where we will pass through different landmarks, and natural farmlands filled with grape, olive trees, and many other fruit trees.!

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Prepare yourself for an amazing and wonderful new trail in the West Beqaa district. At this time of the year, the color of trees and plants, and the springs with the lake are extremely impressive.
The lake constitutes the most important source of water in the area. Furthermore, it is considered one of the most fascinating sights of the country that shouldn’t be missed.
The village’s name Ain Zebde refers to the abundance of water sources surrounding it which are the main source of the Litani River.
So, this trail in West Bekaa is diversified. We will make a quick visit to Ain Zebde village, where a warm and friendly greeting from the team, accompanied by a presentation of the trail.
HIKING LEVEL: 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous
The hike will be divided into two levels:
Level 5 (12 km, approx. 4:00Hr) The hike will start from a traditional Lebanese town named Ain Zebde. The path will continue straight to Saghbine to reach a hill overlooking the whole Bekaa area from Zahle to Jabal el Sheikh or Hermon Summit. Then will continue straight downhill to Beb Mareh to the lake. Those charming villages embrace the Qaraoun dam, an artificial lake of 11 square km.
We will return by bus to Deir Ain El – Jawze in Saghbine to visit that old monastery, bought homemade products, and meet the local habitants.
Level 4 (6 km, approx. 2:30Hr) The track is not hard. The walk will be around 2.3 – 3hrs., with the Level 5.
Lunch will be in the vicinity.
Protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions:
Distancing from each other is a must.
Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are on the bus.
Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other.

Healthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits, lunch, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
