The importance of the Ehden forest (Horsh Ehden) became universal due to the uniqueness of its climate, plants, and trees particularly the Cedars and the fir trees. Thus, the Horsh came to be the center of interest and destination for every stroller and tourist.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Horsh Ehden Nature Reserve ranges from 1250 to 1950 m. It is rich in biodiversity and constitutes a shelter for various kinds of flowers and wild animals and a haven for all bird species. It contains 70 species of plants that have been given the name Lebanon (Berberis Libanoticum, Alyssum Libanoticum…)
The amazing scenery that your eyes catch upon reaching these amazing landscapes is indescribable.
HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous.
The hike will be divided into two levels:
Level 4 (Distance of 9.5 km – 3,5 Hrs approx. at a slow pace – Altitude is 1420m to1700m) is intermediate. It is a beautiful uphill smooth walk that will start near Nabaa Jouit and continue to Ain Naasa at 1600 m level to have lunch and head then to the Jouar el Jafi.
The forest becomes mixed with conifers including the majestic cedar and fir. Afterward, you will continue downhill crossing Ain Naasa and through a pine forest to the lowest entrance of the natural reserve.
LEVEL 5 (Distance of 11 km – 4 Hrs approx.- Altitude is 1420 m to 1900m) will start with level 4 till you reach jouar el Jafi and have lunch together by Ain Naasa. From there, you will head to Al Jafia. The hike will be uphill and then downhill, it needs some physical competence. There will be minimal time for rest and photo sessions.

Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on, while we are on the bus.
Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other.

Healthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits, lunch, water, MEDICAL FACE MASKS, HAND GEL, cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
