π DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

It’s π Autumn time!! and what better time to go πΆ hiking, and explore π±π§ Lebanon’s amazing β°mountains, πΏgolden flowery scenery in Tannourine, North Lebanon. We will get the chance to walk the valley along the riverbank of Nahr π¦ El Jawz with the Golden trees on a road dated back to theπ Roman Empire, where we can take a lot of unforgettable π· pictures.
Tannourine is home to over 17 villages such as Tannourine el Fawqa, Wata Houb, el Wadi, Tannourine el Tahta, and many other π«οΈ wonderful villages.
The π¦ river has a unique beauty drawn by the hands of π God. It renders possible the cultivation of a number of small private properties, watering the gardens and plots of farmland in Kfar Helda, Beit Shlela, and Bsetines el Ossi. The πΊ Ruins of many monasteries and churches are scattered around the villages.
πΏπ₯Ύ HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous
There will be divided into four levels:
First we will visit the old π Crusade church in Tannourine aged more than 1000 years and then start our hiking journey.

Level 2 (Distance of 3 km – 1Hrs approx. at a slow pace – Altitude is 900m to950m)
itβs only π visiting the amazing landmarks.
π₯ Our hiking for level 4: itβs downhill, an easy and beautiful trail of just 7 KM. From the π old church, we will continue along a trail leading to old mills, then to the π¦ river. We will also be able to π see rare views particular to this altitude terrain. The stunning β° mountainous landscape, with π²π³ cedars and pine forests seemingly defying gravity and growing on extremely vertical slopes, is π«οΈ impressive; the scenery is great.
After crossing Wata Houb the scenery changes from this stage. We will pass through a dense π²π³π΄ forest of different kinds of trees, giving the impression of being in a πππ jungle. Will be charmed above all by the trees along the river banks and the walnut trees which grow in preference close to the π¦ water and which have given the river its name.
The track will take us to a reserve of 60 gazelles. Where the scenery is great, the animals live in their natural habitat.
Our π lunch will be under π³oak trees near the riverbank at El Wadi village or in Beit Chlela at Maatouk Restaurant beside Nahr Jawz.
π₯ Then we will continue with level 5 (just 12 KM) from the village of El Wadi and head towards the river bank until we reach the bridges and mills of Tannourine Tahta village at Tahoun Bassa. Then by π bus will join level 2 & 4.
π₯ Level 6 (16 Km) will continue at Darb El Naher to Kfarhelda village to Maatouk station, crossing the amazing π§ waterfall, and πΊ old mills, discovering cave π churches and taking a lot of π· pictures.
