Sannine is the third highest peak in Lebanon. Its highest point is 2,628 m above sea level. Mount Sannine, which has a base ⚱️of limestone, is the source of many mountain 💧 springs.
This hike in Saninne belongs to the ⛰Mount Lebanon, is one of the highlights of a visit to 🇱🇧 Lebanon where you can take a lot of unforgettable 📷 pictures.
It deserves the effort we do to reach it because it offers a very unique 🔭 scene in all directions; Syria, Cyprus, and Lebanon can be easily viewed from there when weather conditions allow it and you will definitely need a light jacket even if it may be hot in Beirut.

Dear Dale Corazon
On Sunday 07th September Dale Corazon will lead you to the Third highest ⛰peak in Lebanon, in the heart ❤️of the mountains of Lebanon
There is an old 4th-century Christian Church situated at the peak of the mountain and a French room is located near.
Mount Sannine it is pure Lebanese 🌿 beauty. Many consider the location a challenge to reach since it takes you quite some time to reach the top location. “💒 Old Church and the Cross”, is said to be the third highest summit in the Middle East, at 2628 m above sea level. The amazing scenery that your eyes 📷 catch upon reaching these amazing landscapes is indescribable.
🌿🥾 HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous
🥇 Level 4 (8 km, approx. 3:00Hr) will start from the lake at an altitude of 1880 m and take a moderate trail along an off-road. Views 🔭 of the Bekaa, Mount Lebanon and of Beirut are awesome from up there.
🥈 The hike (level 7) is tough at about 16 km long, our hike will start at an altitude of 1880 m from a lake along a steep uphill trail to reach the peak of Mount Sannine.
At the beginning we will have a smooth uphill hike for 150 m, then we will 🚶 walk in an off-road trail to reach the Square of Saninne, then prepare yourselves for a challenging upwards towards the Cross at the altitude of 2628m. We will have our lunch on the peak enjoying the breathtaking scenery. 🔭 Watch out for the cold air, although we are in summer it feels like winter there.
After the lunch break will take the same way back to the bus.
