(299\,000 LL/person) \nOptional transportation by your own vehicle 250\,000 LL/person \nMake your group of 5 persons (& more) and get a 10% discount (299\,000 LL per person). \n  \n  \nDESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: \n=========================                                                                                      \nAs per the historian Mr.  Philip\, the origin of the name Bashali is Syriac and it means “rest stop” in Arabic. \nBchealeh is rich with ancient sacred olive trees aged thousands of years (aprox.4000 years) and includes many of the monuments that are in need of exploration to shed light on the above epochs\, like Kal3et El Hosn built with large stones located in the northeast of the village and many Nawawiss carved in the rock\, in addition to multiple Greek writings and Roman coins found there which confirms that this region was the intent of many ancient peoples. \nThe name Douma is of Greek origin meaning “house”\, “palace” or “castle”. Douma is also derived from the Latin word “Doman” used to designate a Queen (Julia Domna) famous for her beauty and intelligence. \nDouma’s pronunciation derives as well from the Hebrew language word of “doumah” meaning calm and rest. \nAlmost all its houses are made of red brick which makes Douma a famous place. It enjoys a unique temperate climate praised by physicians as the ultimate place of medical refuge. \nWe will start the hike in Bche3leh and then go to Ras el Talleh to visit the cross. The view from up there is breathtaking! It is not to be missed! Afterward\, we will go ahead to Bechtoudar crossing ‘AL Hosn Fort’; it’s a trail of Dale Corazon\, where we will visit “Deir Mar Yaacoub” (Jacobo Monastery) then we will continue to Douma in an asphalt trail and breathtaking views to be remembered forever. \nWe will walk in the old souk of Douma\, discover the great landmarks and take a lot of pictures. \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous. \nOur hike will be divided into 2 levels.\nLevel 5: The track 11 Km around is uphill downhill and requires some physical ability; hikers should be able to walk long distances and climb ascents to take this level.\nLevel 3: It will be a moderate hike of around 7 Km; there will be enough time to rest\, take pictures and contemplate the views. This level is suitable for those who enjoy nature and don’t want to exhaust themselves. \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus.   \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \n  \nLive it up! It will be a memorable day! \n  \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits\, lunch\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, cap\, sunglasses\, and sunscreen. It was an island in past ages\, celebrated for its beauty. Tyre emerges today from the debris of centuries. Excavations on the site have uncovered remains of the Crusader\, Arab\, Byzantine\, and Greek-Roman cities. \n  \nThe Greeks believed that various aspects of their civilization had their origin in Tyre. \nThe introduction of the alphabet into Greece was attributed to Cadmus of Tyre\, and it was Europa\, the sister of Cadmus\, who gave her name to the continent. \n  \nHerodotus of Halicarnassus\, “Father of History” visited Tyre during the 5th century B.C. and described the famous Temple of Melkart (Heracles). The priests of the city-gold told him that the temple was built 2300 years previously when Tyre was founded\, that is 2750 B.C. \n  \nEarly in the 6th century B.C. Nebuchadnezzar\, king of Babylon\, lay siege to the city for 13 years. Later Alexander the Great stormed Tyre without success for seven months. \n  \nTyr’s purple dye industries brought to the city great wealth and renown. \n  \nThere the area is an important nesting site for sea turtles. Will give you a useful presentation on the reserve. \n  \nWe will explore the natural beauty of the white sandy beach and visit its remarkable historical sites; we will sail on a beautiful boat along the coast for approximately 35 min approx. and admire from distance the ancient ruins of the city and the small island “Al Zire”. For those who wish to swim bring your swimming suits and any other personal things with you too. \n  \nThen we will make a visit to Tyre city\, where we can get the opportunity to explore its natural beauty and explore its remarkable historical sites; The fishing harbour\, and narrow streets in the Christian quarter. \nOur last stop will be the famous Tyre beach. You’ll get to swim\, relax\, and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the Middle East. \nLunch will be near the reserve at the white sandy beach; lots of fresh seafood and Mezza options await you there! \n  \n  \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus.   \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \n  \nLive it up! A huge panoramic breathtaking view and even the sea can be seen when weather conditions are especially good. It is not to be missed. \nYanouh\, once a Phoenician center\, is halfway between Byblos and Baalbek\, their Phoenician temple\, is a monument to the same religion as that of Apheca\, but the later Roman temple was dedicated to Diana\, the Roman goddess of the hunt and daughter of the god Jupiter. \nYanouh is known for its 2nd century CE Roman temple\, its Byzantine basilica\, and medieval chapel. In 750 AD\, at the time of the fifth Maronite patriarch\, John Maron II\, then installed in Yanouh\, the Roman temple was converted into a church consecrated to Saint George The blue. Between 750 and 1277\, twenty-three successors of Patriarch John Maroun resided there; under the Crusades\, the number of Yanouh’s inhabitants had risen to 3500\, Yanouh is also notable for its Hellenistic cult building containing the earliest Aramic inscription found in Lebanon. it mentions a “House of God” and was dated to around 110-109 BCE. \nTell el Kharayeb (“Hill of Ruins”) remains in Yanouh date back to the third millennium BCE; these include a town of about 150 meters in diameter\, surrounded by a defensive wall and a lower urban quarter extending towards the south of the site. \n  \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous \nOur hike will be divided into 3 levels. \nThis hike is easy for LEVEL 6 and is about 12 km long. The hike starts at Akoura village\, the trail is mostly straight and uphill at the beginning\, straight in the middle\, and descendent and straight at the end. You will visit many ancient historical churches\, Mar Saba\, Mar Geryes\, Mar Botros\, Mar Semaan (Roman temple)\, and the Roman road. You will visit Saydet el Habs located upon the peak overlooking marvelous views like in Harissa\, you will get the feeling of being on top of the world! Then you will descend a staircase of 600 steps and walk through an apple orchard\, then head to the Ozor forest of Mar Edna. We will have lunch there\, later will visit the ancient nun’s monastery and descend a Phoenician Roman dirty road and walk through an apple orchard\, to reach the Ozor forest of Tell El Kharyeb. There will meet with the level 4 and will explore the Phoenician\, Greek\, and Roman Temples and the ancient Saydet Yanoun Church ام الله. \nLEVEL 4\, is about 8 km long. The same trail as level 6 but after visiting the ancient nun’s monastery\, will separate and will join by bus the other at Yanouh Temples and will explore our treasure. \nIf you prefer an easier hike LEVEL 3\, you have the possibility to stay at Saydet el Habs after the visit so you will have enough time to contemplate charming horizons at this altitude and you will have lunch there. Then you will descend a staircase of 600 steps and then by bus will explore Yanouh village. \nBeing there is like going back to our grandparents’ roots\, experiencing the true rural life. \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus.   \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits\, lunch\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, cap\, sunglasses\, and sunscreen. Lebanon’s oldest wineries resumed a 5000-year Phoenician tradition. Today\, this ‘’bijou winery’’\, nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean\, produces a range of unique wines that capture the spirit of the Levant. \nIt is no coincidence that the Romans chose the Bekaa Valley as the site for building the temple of Bacchus in homage to their God of wine and grapes. In all Lebanon\, the number of wineries went from 5 in 1998 to over 30 nowadays. \n  \nOur tour will start with a visit to Domaine des Tourelles. Winner of many international awards\, it is the second oldest winery\, founded by Francois-Eugène Brun in 1868. Nothing but a visit to its yellow stone and cedar wood cellars can begin to unravel the mystery of this age-old family estate. \n  \nOur next stop will be in Chateau Heritage. Chateau Heritage Winery in Kabb-Elias is a new class of Lebanese wine that is created from a unique selection of the finest grapes of the Bekaa Valley. It stands to be the best representation of true Lebanese wine. Will visit the cave\, taste wine\, and meet the local habitants. \n  \nThere\, will have lunch in a very special place\, Domaine de Chouchene restaurant. \n  \nAfter lunch\, we will return to the bus to go and visit Massaya. Massaya\, whose name is Arabic\, for the delicate beauty of the Bekaa’s twilight\, with its French and Lebanese partners. It was for Anis “Arak” in 1994. In 1998\, it became for the wine and “Arak’.  Will visit it\, learn about winemaking\, and get to taste its exquisite wine. \nOn another tour\, will have the chance to see other prestigious wineries in the Bekaa valley. \n  \nAs usual\, you will enjoy memorable moments among friends! It’ll be great! \n  \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts\, and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. It deserves the effort we do to reach the top because it offers a very unique scene in all directions. Syria\, Cyprus\, Palestine\, and Jordan can be easily viewed from there when the weather conditions allow it\, and you will definitely need a light jacket even if it may be hot in Beirut. \nStanding on the foothills of “Jabal EL Cheikh” or “Hermon Mountain”\, Rachaya el Wadi is distinguished for its old red-tile-roofed stone houses that have survived the most difficult and relevant phases of the Lebanese history. \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous \nThe hike (level 7) is tough\, mostly uphill and then downhill for about 20 km long and starts at 1250 m elevation till 2250m. The path is exposed to sunlight and there are no trees to cover us so you surely need to use sun protection and wear hats. \nFor all adventure lovers\, we advise you to take this challenge! \nFor those who prefer an easier hike (level 4)\, you have an alternative that will help you reduce 1/2 of the path; a lift in a pick-up. (Limited places) \nWe will have lunch at the elevation of 2250 meters. Get warm clothing because it will be really cold up there! \nOn our return to Beirut\, we might stop in Chtoura to drink fresh Juice. \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus.   \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n=============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits\, lunch\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, cap\, sunglasses\, and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don’t forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches. \n==There will be a breakfast stop along the way== \n  \nFOR RESERVATION AND INFO: \n======================= \n  \nPlease Call 00961-70-986118 / 00961-70-997062 and send an SMS or WhatsApp to mention your name\, surname\, and the event you wish to join us on. \n  \nInfo: Must register 3 weeks in advance. The origin of the name Falougha is Syriac and means “divide” symbolizing the two winter rivers that divide the village. \nThe 19th-century French poet\, novelist\, and statesman Alphonse De Lamartine visited Lebanon and spent some time in Hammana. He described the town and its surrounding valley as “one of the most beautiful prospects ever presented to the human eye to scan in the works of God“. \nThe hike will take place between the amazing lakes. We continue our hike passing by Sohat spring water bottling plant to visit the first Lebanese Flag That was raised in 1943. We will hike through a Cedar Forest leading to the most picturesque spot at Lamartine Rock where the famous French poet\, Lamartine\, used to sit\, and get inspired. There we will enjoy the fresh air and watch the beautiful summer sunset. The stunning mountainous landscape\, with extremely vertical slopes\, is impressive. The scenery is just great. \nAfter finishing the trail\, we will gather near a bonfire at Falougha village and we will have the opportunity to take a boiling tea and test roasted potatoes cooked by local villagers. \nThis sunset hike is not to be missed. It will imprint unforgettable memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. \n                                                                                                                                                      \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. Some researchers argue that the name stems from the words “haret” (alley) and “deen” (religion) \nknown by its caves-churches and rich in remains of ancient civilizations; The trail will lead you to the Phoenician Temple: (Saydet el Qalaa)\, a most picturesque place where the sight and sound of the place will make you forget the city\, your problems\, and everything! \nThe town Kfour el-Arbe was originally named “Kfour Al-Arabi\,” in reference to being the residence of many old generations. \n  \nRoman monetary pieces engraved with the head of Emperor Constantine were found in the town\, in addition to a historical Church of Saydet Al-Qalaa Al-Ajaibiyyeh\, built in an elevated place between the suburbs of Hardine and Al-Kfour. The church structure is an old temple. \nArz Niha is rich in biodiversity and constitutes a shelter for various kinds of flowers and wild animals and a haven for all bird species. \nThe amazing scenery that your eyes catch upon reaching these amazing landscapes is indescribable. \n  \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous. \n  \nThe hike will be divided into two levels: \nFor those who want the intermediate we will walk till Niha and for adventurists\, we will continue our hike till the Phoenician Temple. It is an exceptional hike. \nLEVEL 4 (Distance of 8 km – 2\,5 Hrs.’ approx. at a slow pace – Altitude is 1350m to1800m) is intermediate. It is a beautiful downhill smooth walk that will start from Dahr el Mil – Kerset El Batrak and continue with a panoramic view to Niha Village to have lunch there at St. Georges Church piazza. \nLEVEL 5 (Distance of 12 km – 4 Hrs approx.- Altitude is 1350 m to 1800m) will start with level 4 till you reach Niha village and have lunch together. From there\, you will head to Jabal Hardine to the cliff (to the Church of Saydet Al-Qalaa Al-Ajaibiyyeh). The hike will be downhill and then uphill\, it needs some physical competence. There will be minimal time for rest and photo sessions. \nOn our way back to Beirut\, we may stop in Batroun to drink fresh Lemonade. Diversified? Yes!!!!!!!                                                                      \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks.
