A huge panoramic breathtaking view and even the sea can be seen when weather conditions are especially good. It is not to be missed. \nYanouh\, once a Phoenician center\, is halfway between Byblos and Baalbek\, their Phoenician temple\, is a monument to the same religion as that of Apheca\, but the later Roman temple was dedicated to Diana\, the Roman goddess of the hunt and daughter of the god Jupiter. \nYanouh is known for its 2nd century CE Roman temple\, its Byzantine basilica\, and medieval chapel. In 750 AD\, at the time of the fifth Maronite patriarch\, John Maron II\, then installed in Yanouh\, the Roman temple was converted into a church consecrated to Saint George The blue. Between 750 and 1277\, twenty-three successors of Patriarch John Maroun resided there; under the Crusades\, the number of Yanouh’s inhabitants had risen to 3500\, Yanouh is also notable for its Hellenistic cult building containing the earliest Aramic inscription found in Lebanon. it mentions a “House of God” and was dated to around 110-109 BCE. \nTell el Kharayeb (“Hill of Ruins”) remains in Yanouh date back to the third millennium BCE; these include a town of about 150 meters in diameter\, surrounded by a defensive wall and a lower urban quarter extending towards the south of the site. \n  \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous \nOur hike will be divided into 3 levels. \nThis hike is easy for LEVEL 6 and is about 12 km long. The hike starts at Akoura village\, the trail is mostly straight and uphill at the beginning\, straight in the middle\, and descendent and straight at the end. You will visit many ancient historical churches\, Mar Saba\, Mar Geryes\, Mar Botros\, Mar Semaan (Roman temple)\, and the Roman road. You will visit Saydet el Habs located upon the peak overlooking marvelous views like in Harissa\, you will get the feeling of being on top of the world! Then you will descend a staircase of 600 steps and walk through an apple orchard\, then head to the Ozor forest of Mar Edna. We will have lunch there\, later will visit the ancient nun’s monastery and descend a Phoenician Roman dirty road and walk through an apple orchard\, to reach the Ozor forest of Tell El Kharyeb. There will meet with the level 4 and will explore the Phoenician\, Greek\, and Roman Temples and the ancient Saydet Yanoun Church ام الله. \nLEVEL 4\, is about 8 km long. The same trail as level 6 but after visiting the ancient nun’s monastery\, will separate and will join by bus the other at Yanouh Temples and will explore our treasure. \nIf you prefer an easier hike LEVEL 3\, you have the possibility to stay at Saydet el Habs after the visit so you will have enough time to contemplate charming horizons at this altitude and you will have lunch there. Then you will descend a staircase of 600 steps and then by bus will explore Yanouh village. \nBeing there is like going back to our grandparents’ roots\, experiencing the true rural life. \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus.   \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits\, lunch\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, cap\, sunglasses\, and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don’t forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches. \n==There will be a breakfast stop along the way== \n  \nFOR RESERVATION AND INFO: \n======================= \n  \nPlease Call 00961-70-986118 / 00961-70-997062 and send an SMS or WhatsApp to mention your name\, surname\, and the event you wish to join us on. \n  \nNOTE: \n===== \nThank you for not smoking during the trip and following all the ecotourism rules including safety regulations (hikers are advised to join our events to their own responsibility). Lebanon’s oldest wineries resumed a 5000-year Phoenician tradition. Today\, this ‘’bijou winery’’\, nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean\, produces a range of unique wines that capture the spirit of the Levant. \nIt is no coincidence that the Romans chose the Bekaa Valley as the site for building the temple of Bacchus in homage to their God of wine and grapes. In all Lebanon\, the number of wineries went from 5 in 1998 to over 30 nowadays. \n  \nOur tour will start with a visit to Domaine des Tourelles. Winner of many international awards\, it is the second oldest winery\, founded by Francois-Eugène Brun in 1868. Nothing but a visit to its yellow stone and cedar wood cellars can begin to unravel the mystery of this age-old family estate. \n  \nOur next stop will be in Chateau Heritage. Chateau Heritage Winery in Kabb-Elias is a new class of Lebanese wine that is created from a unique selection of the finest grapes of the Bekaa Valley. It stands to be the best representation of true Lebanese wine. Will visit the cave\, taste wine\, and meet the local habitants. \n  \nThere\, will have lunch in a very special place\, Domaine de Chouchene restaurant. \n  \nAfter lunch\, we will return to the bus to go and visit Massaya. Massaya\, whose name is Arabic\, for the delicate beauty of the Bekaa’s twilight\, with its French and Lebanese partners. It was for Anis “Arak” in 1994. In 1998\, it became for the wine and “Arak’.  Will visit it\, learn about winemaking\, and get to taste its exquisite wine. \nOn another tour\, will have the chance to see other prestigious wineries in the Bekaa valley. \n  \nAs usual\, you will enjoy memorable moments among friends! It’ll be great! \n  \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts\, and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus. \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruit\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, cap\, and sunglasses. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes that will be suitable to walk in a field\, in the countryside and don’t forget to get a light jacket. Names must be submitted to the army for approval. (Full name\, father’s name\, mother’s name\, date of birth the Lebanese ID. Non-Lebanese the Passport Photo\, and the visa. \n  \n  \nDESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: \n=========================                                                                                      \n  \nThe name of ”Jabal El Sheikh” is sacred that the Phoenicians gave to Mount Hermon\, and it’s called the “gray-haired mountain\,” or the “mountain of snow.” \n  \nThis mountain has great importance due to the historical Christian event that happened there; the transfiguration of Jesus Christ. \n  \nJabal El Sheikh is the highest peak of the Anti-Lebanon range and the second highest peak in the Near East and in Lebanon located at an altitude of 2814 m above sea level. It deserves the effort we do to reach the top because it offers a very unique scene in all directions. Syria\, Cyprus\, Palestine\, and Jordan can be easily viewed from there when the weather conditions allow it\, and you will definitely need a light jacket even if it may be hot in Beirut. \nStanding on the foothills of “Jabal EL Cheikh” or “Hermon Mountain”\, Rachaya el Wadi is distinguished for its old red-tile-roofed stone houses that have survived the most difficult and relevant phases of the Lebanese history. \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous \nThe hike (level 7) is tough\, mostly uphill and then downhill for about 20 km long and starts at 1250 m elevation till 2250m. The path is exposed to sunlight and there are no trees to cover us so you surely need to use sun protection and wear hats. \nFor all adventure lovers\, we advise you to take this challenge! \nFor those who prefer an easier hike (level 4)\, you have an alternative that will help you reduce 1/2 of the path; a lift in a pick-up. (Limited places) \nWe will have lunch at the elevation of 2250 meters. Get warm clothing because it will be really cold up there! \nOn our return to Beirut\, we might stop in Chtoura to drink fresh Juice. \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus.   \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n=============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits\, lunch\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, cap\, sunglasses\, and sunscreen. The origin of the name Falougha is Syriac and means “divide” symbolizing the two winter rivers that divide the village. \nThe 19th-century French poet\, novelist\, and statesman Alphonse De Lamartine visited Lebanon and spent some time in Hammana. He described the town and its surrounding valley as “one of the most beautiful prospects ever presented to the human eye to scan in the works of God“. \nThe hike will take place between the amazing lakes. We will have many reasons to keep our cameras handy\, there will be scenes to cherish forever.\n\n\nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous \nLevel 4 (7.5 KM – 3.0 Hours approx.) is an easy and pleasing trail. \nOur trail will start from the pine forest of Falougha\, passes between the very known water ponds\, and descend to the top of a hill to see a panoramic view. We continue our hike passing by Sohat spring water bottling plant to visit the first Lebanese Flag That was raised in 1943. We will hike through a Cedar Forest leading to the most picturesque spot at Lamartine Rock where the famous French poet\, Lamartine\, used to sit\, and get inspired. There we will enjoy the fresh air and watch the beautiful summer sunset. The stunning mountainous landscape\, with extremely vertical slopes\, is impressive. The scenery is just great. \nAfter finishing the trail\, we will gather near a bonfire at Falougha village and we will have the opportunity to take a boiling tea and test roasted potatoes cooked by local villagers. \nThis sunset hike is not to be missed. It will imprint unforgettable memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. \n                                                                                                                                                      \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus. \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \nDon’t let any adventure go by untried. Live your life to the fullest! \n  \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruit\, flashlight\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, a cap\, and sunglasses. Some researchers argue that the name stems from the words “haret” (alley) and “deen” (religion) \nknown by its caves-churches and rich in remains of ancient civilizations; The trail will lead you to the Phoenician Temple: (Saydet el Qalaa)\, a most picturesque place where the sight and sound of the place will make you forget the city\, your problems\, and everything! \nThe town Kfour el-Arbe was originally named “Kfour Al-Arabi\,” in reference to being the residence of many old generations. \n  \nRoman monetary pieces engraved with the head of Emperor Constantine were found in the town\, in addition to a historical Church of Saydet Al-Qalaa Al-Ajaibiyyeh\, built in an elevated place between the suburbs of Hardine and Al-Kfour. The church structure is an old temple. \nArz Niha is rich in biodiversity and constitutes a shelter for various kinds of flowers and wild animals and a haven for all bird species. \nThe amazing scenery that your eyes catch upon reaching these amazing landscapes is indescribable. \n  \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous. \n  \nThe hike will be divided into two levels: \nFor those who want the intermediate we will walk till Niha and for adventurists\, we will continue our hike till the Phoenician Temple. It is an exceptional hike. \nLEVEL 4 (Distance of 8 km – 2\,5 Hrs.’ approx. at a slow pace – Altitude is 1350m to1800m) is intermediate. It is a beautiful downhill smooth walk that will start from Dahr el Mil – Kerset El Batrak and continue with a panoramic view to Niha Village to have lunch there at St. Georges Church piazza. \nLEVEL 5 (Distance of 12 km – 4 Hrs approx.- Altitude is 1350 m to 1800m) will start with level 4 till you reach Niha village and have lunch together. From there\, you will head to Jabal Hardine to the cliff (to the Church of Saydet Al-Qalaa Al-Ajaibiyyeh). The hike will be downhill and then uphill\, it needs some physical competence. There will be minimal time for rest and photo sessions. \nOn our way back to Beirut\, we may stop in Batroun to drink fresh Lemonade. Diversified? Yes!!!!!!!                                                                      \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. The history of the village goes way back to an era that is still obscure because of the absence of archeological and historical assets. \nThe ruins of Faqra\, the traditional Lebanese houses\, the old and new bridges\, and the remaining mills in the Valley of the Cross are the best proofs of the importance of the village and its rich historical originality. \nWe will hike around 8Km together in one group as level 4\, for just 3 hours\, will start at Nabeh El-Laban\, it will lead us to a wonderful old natural bridge of rocks carved by water millions of years ago and there you can take as many of photos as you desire. The second part of the trail at the Ozer Forest is easy and open to a panoramic view. The protected forest contains chestnut\, oak\, Turkish oak\, pine\, cedar\, and other tree species. \nAt the end of our hike\, we will watch the sunset\, overlooking the spectacular simultaneous sea and mountain\, and reach breathtaking views exposed to moonlight. \nAs usual\, we will end this night’s adventure with a cozy gathering around a fire camp for a homemade Mankoushe dinner on a Saj\, boil tea\, and roasted potatoes cooked by local villagers. \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions:    \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. To keep it on\, while we are on the bus. \n   Clean your hands often by using hand gel or other. \n  \n  \nWHAT TO TAKE: \n============                  \n  \nHealthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruit\, a flashlight\, water\, MEDICAL FACE MASKS\, HAND GEL\, a cap\, and sunglasses. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don’t forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches. \n  \nFOR RESERVATION AND INFO: \n======================= \n  \nPlease Call 00961-70-986118 / 00961-70-997062 and by sending an SMS\, or WhatsApp mentions your name\, surname\, and the event you wish to join us on. \n  \nNOTE: \n===== \nThank you for not smoking during the trip and following all the ecotourism rules including safety regulations (hikers are advised to join our trips to their own responsibility). The “40 martyrs” mountain was named following a 13th-century battle between the Crusaders and Salaheddin El-Ayoubi. It’s one of the Al-Makmel mountain series\, which rises 2000 meters above sea level. \n  \nIt’s one of the most beautiful hikes that will leave wonderful pictures in your memory. There is the HIGHEST SWING IN THE MIDDLE EAST! \n  \nHIKING LEVEL: 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous. \nOur hike will be divided into 3 levels: \n  \nLEVEL 3 (Approx. 1hr.) It’s a tour and visit to the suspension bridge and the swing. \n  \nLEVEL 4 (Approx. 2.5 hr. around 7 Km) It’s a loop trail\, it will be an easy walk: the first part is uphill\, the next one is at a hilltop overlooking great views. The lunch will be there on the top then downhill to the bridge where we will get back to the bus. In this hike\, we will have many reasons to keep our cameras handy. From the moment we start hiking until the moment we stop\, there will be scenes that we want to cherish forever. \n  \nLEVEL 5 (Approx. 3.5 hr. around 12 Km) The stunning mountainous landscape\, with the bridge and the swing seemingly defying gravity on extremely vertical slopes\, is impressive. The path is like level 4 with an extra 1 hour ascending and descending an exciting trail that requires more physical effort. The trail about ends up at 1750m. We won’t have rest breaks as level 4. \n  \nThis magnificent location makes that destination one of the best in Lebanon. \nOn our way back to Beirut\, we may stop in Batroun to drink freshly squeezed Lemonade. \n  \nProtect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions: \n   Distancing from each other is a must. \n   Cover your nose and mouth with your face masks. Many historians believe that Jezzine served as a storing location for traders because of its strategic location on the caravan route that connected the ancient port city of Sidon to the Chouf\, the Beqaa Valley\, and to Syria \n  \nBkassine is a charming peaceful village gifted by nature with a large and exquisite pine forest\, covering an area of 1 million square meters\, making it the largest pine forest in Lebanon. It is also the last pine forest to the south of Turkey. \n  \nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous. \nLevel 6 will walk from the intersection and go through the breathtaking pine forest of Bkassine\, the walk in the forest is uphill and quite long. From there\, you will continue toward the cliff and then go straight toward a pine forest until you arrive at Rommaneh where there are huge oak trees. The lunch will be there. \n  \nLevel 4 will have a shorter walk in the pine forest. Then from there\, you will go to Dhour El Ramleh\, and will get the feeling of being on top of the world! And you will walk along the same track as level 6. \n  \nYou will visit the village of Jezzine starting from the water source of Jezzine\, and you will see how the water is coming out of the tunnel that goes deep inside the mountain. From there to the souk and if we are lucky\, you will visit the cutlery workshop and see how they are made. You will walk to the piazza of Jezzine and then to “Our Lady Church” overlooking the spectacular simultaneous sea and mountain views. \nJezzine’s hike is not just a hike in very beautiful nature\, along streams\, ponds\, huge trees\, souk\, and breathtaking views.
