It is located on a hill with stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the mountainous regions of Zouk\, Aintoura\, Harissa and Ghazir on the other side.\nWe will hike around 8.5 Km approx. together in one group as intermediate to easy level 5\, along with uphill and downhill trekking for just 3 hours.\nWe will first visit the old Bchouche Church (Saydet Bchouche)\, situated in the heart of beautiful Bkerki beside the Patriarchal Palace\, on a spectacular hill where lies old Phoenician houses\, and strategic points of Keserwan Hills. Will get to walk along a track called “Darb El-Moujawkal”. Then will visit the old abandoned factory (Beit El Sabbagh) and the spring water stream. The citadels are grand\, which can be compared to those at Baalbeck\, albeit on a smaller scale. \nThe hike will begin from Niha where we will visit the well-preserved lower temple.\nAfter this\, we will divide into two groups: easy and intermediate. \n🌿🥾 HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous/advanced \n🥈 Level 5 (approx. 3:30Hr) will continue to walk a bit uphill until they reach the upper temple El Hosn of Niha\, which is still upright but in very good condition. Stunning panoramic views of the Bekaa valley can be enjoyed from up there. Then the trail becomes a downhill walk all the way to Ferzol. \nOnce in Ferzol\, we will all go to Al-Habis to see ancient ruins and caves dating from the Canaanite\, Phoenician and Roman eras. The ruins are from a prehistoric empire that has been carved into the mountain as Cappadocia in Turkey\, famous for allegedly housing all the gold treasures of that empire! The scenery will definitely mark our minds and souls with its colorful\, fresh and beautiful nature all day long. \nWe will walk a splendid trail beside the river; we will see very old olive trees. We will cross many bridges; the most famous one is the Roman Stairway and will go across a Roman passage of striking beauty inside the cliff and then we will go to Marej Bisri\, the magic valley.\nHIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous\nEl Marej is a wonderful place for hiking; our hike will be divided into 3 levels:\n🌿🥾 LEVEL 4 (approx.9km) it is a downhill and straight beautiful trail. Will start from Roman Stairway at 620 meters’ elevation. We will experience the fascinating Lebanese wild nature with its colorful trees and herbs\, chirping birds\, fresh breeze and rushing water. The scenery is really beyond description. We will have enough time for meditation\, photo shooting and fun. We will have lunch at the bridge above Al Barouk River and then we will continue to Marj Bisri.\n🥇 Level 5 (approx.13 km) is a bit tough. The view you get to see from the valley is beyond imagination. Will start from Mazraat El Chouf village at 825 meters’ elevation and take a trail between the old olives trees that leads to Roman Stairway. We will pass by many springs\, wells and cross many bridges. We will have lunch together beside the river\, rest a bit and then continue to Bisri village.\n🥈 Level 6 (approx.16 km) The extra part of that trail is Downhill at the beginning and at 920 meters’ elevation\, requires good physical strength.\nOn our way back to Beirut\, will may stop in Joun at Deir al Mokhales Monastery. It is an old and historical monastery atop a hill overlooking beautiful views. It was built in 1711\, and stands on an even older site. There is a beautiful church and a collection of icons\, manuscripts and religious objects with tomb of the monk Bchara Abou Mrad 1853-1930.\nDiversified? Yes! Unquestionably\, the Lebanese mountains come into literature by Lamartine\, giving rise to the greatest number of descriptions of landscapes. Lebanon\, its mountains and ruins\, inspired the poet much of his “Episode” called “L’épopée de La Chute d’un ange” written in 1838. \nThe valley where we’re going is called the valley of Lamartine as a commemoration of that visit\, he describes the area in his book “Voyage en Orient”. Also\, the Lebanon Cedar forest still harbors the “Lamartine Cedar”\, which is said to be the Cedar under which Lamartine had sat 200 years ago. \n25 Kms from Beirut\, most of the villages we will pass by are known for its pine trees that surround the village\, it’s a source of valuable pine nuts. It is located in Mount Lebanon\, in Byblos area\, and it is one of the highlights places for hike in Lebanon where you can take a lot of unforgettable pictures. \nHIKING LEVEL.1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous \n🌿🥾 Our level 5 is intermediate. It is a beautiful trail\, and it is an amazing walking path of just 10 KM. \n  \nHabil is a very beautiful and peaceful village to hike in. 90% of the track is covered with oak\, olive and pine trees! It is known with its famous ancient church\, Lady of Habil\, where the patriarchs had their headquarters during the middle centuries\, as well as ancient uninhibited houses. The Church overlooks a Saints valley where the highlights of ancient caves in Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea to the west and the snow-capped summits of Cedars of God to the east. You get to walk in the swamp and after along the edge of mountains where many trees’ species provide shade and shelter.\nOur visit will begin from the entrance in Ammiq Wetland where a warm and friendly greeting from the reserve team\, accompanied by a presentation of the reserve.\n🌿🥾 HIKING LEVEL: 1 to 3 for easy\, 4 to 6 for intermediate\, 7 to 9 for strenuous\n🥇 Level 4 (8 km approx.) will start from the swamp\, it has a watching tower to observe migrating birds.; making a walk inside the wetland and then will take an uphill path for about 100 meters to reach the top of the mountain. You will get the feeling of being on top of the world! The path will continue straight to reach the hill overlooking Bekaa valley\, then a pine forest\, the old broken-down village of ancient Ammiq\, old churches and a farm. The church is the most ancient part. Bring your cameras with you; you will definitely use them. We will cross by many water sources where the water drops create a unique sort of music. Lunch will be in the vicinity.\n🥈 Level 6 will start from the swamp of Ammik\, pass through three water sources\, a 1300-year-old tree called “shajaret el set”\, nabeh saalouk\, Ain Abed\, Ain el tain\, and finally meet with level 4 for lunch. After lunch will continue in a stretch beautiful trail to Aana village. The total distance is (around 14 km); we will only take short rests.
