DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

The name, Jezzine, derives from the Aramaic (Syriac) word, meaning “depot” or “store”. Many historians believe that Jezzine served as a storing location for traders because of its strategic location on the caravan route that connected the ancient port city of Sidon to the Chouf, the Beqaa Valley, and to Syria
We will be at Maknouniyeh, a charming peaceful village. This place is distinguished by its large and exquisite pine forest; a unique destination for those who want to leave the city behind and savor the beauty of nature.
- HIKING: LEVEL 4 ( 7 Km) Will walk from the intersection and go through the breathtaking pine forest of Maknouniyeh, the walk in the forest is uphill. The track will lead you to Rockland campground for a quick visit. From there, will continue toward the cliff “Chir en Nqar” and will get the feeling of being on top of the world! and then go downhill toward a pine forest until we arrive at Deir Mar Botros wa Boulos – Qattine where there are huge oak trees to Nabaat Al-Mahbasse to the site camp. Then, our picnic area will be at the campground where we will have a campfire together in a restful place in nature under the local trees of oaks.
You can order your sandwiches/meals (Saj) directly from the nearby kiosk.
This event is convenient for all ages; the whole family can enjoy it! An early reservation is advised.
This adventure is not to be missed!!!
